Renovated, typical regional holiday apartments in a stone house, at the foot of the Pujols castle and surrounded by major vineyards


Spend your holiday in France near the Atlantic coast. This detached stone house from the year 1840, a former parish house, is surrounded by a 1400m² garden and provides two functionally furnished holiday apartments for two to four or six people. The house is surrounded by major St. Emilion and Pomerol vineyards, in a picturesque little village and in an idyllic location amidst nature at the foot of the Pujols sur Dordogne castle.

The quarry stone house was renovated in 2011 and has a distinctive and original character. It has a typical regional interior, whilst still ensuring all the necessary comfort. Free high-speed Internet access and satellite TV are available. The house comprises two separate accommodation units with separate entrances, but a connecting door allows them to be used together. They can be booked at any time of year.

Both apartments have their own separate terraces and gardens, which cannot be looked into, owing to how the house is built. Parking spaces are available on site.

Enjoy original French cuisine on your holiday and learn about viticulture and oyster cultivation. You can explore the region on extended cycle tours or hikes. You can drive to the extensive sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast, within easy access, or go on a trip to the surrounding lakes, or explore the exciting town of Bordeaux. You can shop at a village shop in Pujol. The town of Castillon is six kilometres away, with further shops, supermarkets, bars and cafés.

This 80m² apartment can ideally accommodate two people, or a maximum of four people. It has an open living and dining room of around 60m² with an adjoining kitchen that is fully-equipped. The separate bedroom with access to the interior bathroom provides a double bed. The bathroom has a shower and WC. Two further people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room. Parking spaces are available on the site which is not fenced.

    “Das Haus ist großartig. Toll renoviert, umfassend ausgestattet (sogar mir Weber-Grill und Mountainbikes), Abstriche könnte es maximal für die Matratze geben, aber die ist immer noch auf einem für Ferienwohnungen guten Niveau. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der Vermieter: Er fragt persönlich nach Interessen, informiert umfassend und freundlich und ist stets erreichbar.

    Die Region ist für Weinliebhaber*innen natürlich Weltspitze, St. Émilion/Pomerol mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar, ebenso wie Top-Weingüter aus Côtes de Castillon (bes. z. empfehlen: Château Pitray). Bis zum Meer ist es ein Stückchen (sind meist gut 1,5 h gefahren), aber auf der Strecke gibt es so viel zu entdecken, dass dies nur leicht ins Gewicht fällt. Großartig auch das Restaurant "La Poudette": Es ist gleich im Ort und gilt unter den Winzern, die wir kennen gelernt haben, als das beste der ganzen Region – zurecht!”
