In the Ostseebad Nienhagen you will find plenty of leisure options for young and old: children's playgrounds, bicycle rental, mini golf and various restaurants and cafes where you can indulge yourself. The nearby sandy beach is miles long and slopes gently, making it particularly suitable for smaller children. Discover the steep coast with its unique coastal forest. The so-called haunted forest is notable for its unusually shaped and magically appearing deciduous trees.

Discover Warnemünde with its seal station and the opportunity to take a harbor tour. Or visit Heiligendamm, the oldest seaside resort in Germany, where you can still get real DDR soft ice cream in the ice cream parlor. Bad Doberan with its Minster and the train station for the steam locomotive "Molli" is also worth a look. Families with children can also visit Karls Erlebnishof in Rövershagen and the zoo in Rostock if they don't want to go to the beach
