Chalet Haselmuus is located in the beautiful Bernese Oberland in the middle of the quiet Beatenberg area above Lake Thun. Not far from the post bus stop "Beatenberg, Firnelicht" lies this charming, small but fine and detached chalet with a wonderful view.
Your chalet offers 40 m2 of space for games evenings and relaxing cooking after extensive hikes, or a cooling off in the nearby Lake Thun or Lake Brienz. On one floor you will find the living/dining room, the spacious kitchen, an open sleeping area with two single beds pushed together and a small bedroom with bunk beds. The house is available for a maximum of 2 people. Overcrowding is not allowed. The open kitchen with electric stove (induction hob with 4 plates) and oven as well as refrigerator and 4l freezer invite you to taste milk, cheese, meat, fish and other specialties of the region and to try typical Swiss recipes. Thanks to a lot of wood, you will certainly feel homey very quickly.
Bed linen and kitchen towels are provided, they are included in the rent. Bathroom towels can be brought by the guests or rented on the spot when the keys are handed over.
The two terraces (one of them covered) invite you to enjoy the sun and magnificent view of the mountains and the lake on warm days, and to relax with wine and candlelight on cozy evenings.
From the carport you can reach the house entrance via a few steps.

The vacation region Beatenberg is known as a sun terrace in the Bernese Oberland and invites connoisseurs as well as explorers and adventurers to spend their vacations here. Especially for active people, whether by bike, on foot or simply to play or barbecue in nature, the region above Lake Thun is a paradise.

Summer

The Beatenberg region offers you a wonderful view of Lake Thun, the Oberland metropolis of Interlaken and the "famous three", the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in the middle of the nearby alpine panorama. Away from the tourist crowds, you can relax here and let your soul dangle in the open nature.
Hike through high moors and karst fields and enjoy the peace and quiet on a leisurely walk along the Beatusweg from the Waldegg district to the village center. On the play and adventure trail you will learn a lot about the legend of ?Saint Beatus?
Ideal hikes (tips from the owner): Niederhorn, Burgfeldstand, Gemmenalp with many hiking routes back to Beatenberg. Justistal, Sigriswil, Lake Thun, return by boat (Poatauto from Interlaken included in guest card). Waldegg, Habkern with show dairy Alp Heubühlen (post bus for return trip included in guest card). Popular swimming possibilities are the indoor pool in Beatenberg, outdoor pools in Habkern and Interlaken Unterseen and the refreshing Lake Thun near Neuhaus.
Roam the natural surroundings and take a trip to the Beatushölen, to the Jungfraujoch via Interlaken or to the impressive Aareschlucht gorge near Meiringen. In addition, the owner recommends excursions to: Harder, Schynige Platte, along Lake Brienz to Brienz, Brienzer Rothorn, or along Lake Thun to Spiez, Zweisimmen, Lenk, Gstaad, or Kandersteg, as well as the cities of Thun and Bern with historic and UNESCO protected old town.

    “Goed ingerichte, ruime keuken. Voor twee personen is het huisje prima. alles wat je nodig hebt is er. De badkamer is wel klein, maar Ok. Buiten is er behalve een veranda, een groot terras. Comfortabele ligstoelen en parasols zijn aanwezig. De auto kan je beschut parkeren onder het terras.
    De ligging van het huis is fantastisch, met een royaal uitzicht op zowel het meer als de bekende bergtoppen. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is goed.”

    “Für 2 Personen völlig ausreichend. Wer gerne isst (auch auf der Terrasse) und gerne kocht, ist hier richtig. Sehr schöne Aussicht auf den Tuner See, Eiger Mönch und Jungfrau. Bergbahnen auf das Niederhorn und zum Tuner See sind in 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein gut sortiertes Lebensmittelgeschäft (auch Fleisch) ist ebenfalls in der Nähe.”
