Budapest is situated on both sides of the River Danube which consists of Buda (the 'lungs of the city') and Pest (the 'commercial side'). The Danube has several bridges, the most famous is the Szechenyi Chain Bridge, and a number of islands including Sziget (yearly festivals are held here) and Margitsziget (Margaret Island). To the north of the city are the Matra Hills and to the east of the capital are the Bukk Hills (Eger and Tokaji). To the south of Budapest Szeged and Pecs are to be found and Gyor to the north west of the country.
