This holiday apartment is located near the town of Kastav, a beautiful, romantic and historic town on a hill overlooking the Opatija Riviera. The apartment is located on the ground floor of a family house. It is simply and functionally furnished. The entrance to the flat is on the covered terrace where you can enjoy warm summer evenings. Kastav is a town with a rich history, culture and tradition. The ruins of St Mary's Church, popularly known as Crekvina, stand in Kastav as a historical and cultural monument. There are many opportunities for an active holiday in the vicinity of Kastav. There are numerous hiking trails and promenades, then cycling trails and another interesting way to get to know the beautiful natural and historical heritage of the Kastav region is horseback riding. Nearby Matulji, also known as the gateway to the Opatija Riviera, is known for its bell ringing tradition, which is on the UNESCO list of intangible heritage. They are also known for their gastronomy and in the local taverns you can taste jarbola, a wine with a specific flavour made from the indigenous grape variety. The nearby Uka Nature Park is an ideal place to relax and unwind. Lovers of active holidays can enjoy the extraordinary nature here, which is adorned with many protected and rare animal and plant species. From the top of Vojak you have a phenomenal panoramic view of the Kvarner islands, Istria and Rijeka. You can enjoy various sporting activities such as hiking, free climbing, mountain biking and free flying.
