In Melito Porto Salvo, in the Greek-speaking area of Bovesia in Calabria, you'll find this apartment with everything you need for a great family holiday. You can go to the beach and plunge into the waves of the Ionian Sea. Soak up the sun and enjoy the view from the Lungomare dei mille beach, the southernmost point of the Italian peninsula. On the rock face of Monte Calvario is the mysterious and fascinating ghost town of Pentedattilo, which was abandoned after the catastrophic earthquake of 1783. The small centre can only be reached on foot. Some parts of the town have been partially restored. A night-time visit is only possible in August, when the village paths are illuminated. Pentedattilo also hosts a film festival for international short films every year between August and September. Not forgetting the mountain village of Bova, which lies at an altitude of 820 metres and offers an incomparable 360-degree view over the mountainous national park and the Strait of Messina to Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea. The castle of Sant'Aniceto, which dates back to Byzantine times, is located in an isolated position and is undoubtedly worth a visit.
