The country house is in Cortona, in the Montalla area. The rural locality is quiet, but not remote.

The apartment has a private 500m² garden with sun loungers. The veranda in front of the apartment entrance is furnished with a table and chairs. The apartment also has its own parking space. A barbecue is available.

The little holiday house belongs to a stone country house that the owner lives in. It dates back to the 16th century and has been carefully restored, preserving the old features and original structure. It is decorated in an Arte Povera style, simple and rural, but comfortable. The independent holiday house has direct access to the garden. It has a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 190cm) and a single bed (80 x 190cm). It also has a dresser and a TV. The spacious living room-kitchen features a country style and is very cosy. It has a big fireplace, a sofa, a wooden dining table, a TV with satellite channels (no Pay TV) and a brick-built kitchen unit. There is a big fridge with a freezer compartment in a niche in the wall. The kitchen unit is well-equipped with a gas stove, microwave, coffee machine and toaster. There are two bathrooms: one with a shower and one with a bath with a shower attachment. The apartment is fitted with air conditioning (cool/warm), while the bathroom just has heating. The sofa in the living room-kitchen can be pulled out as a double bed (160 x 190cm), but occupancy with four people is preferable. Free wireless Internet access is available.

The centre of Cortona is just a five-minute drive away. The nearest supermarket is just 1km away, within walking distance. A coin-operated launderette, belonging to the owners, is also nearby (4km). The lake, Lago Trasimeno, is just 15km away. The major art cities of Central Italy are easy to get to: Montepulciano (30km), Arezzo (32km), Perugia (45km), Gubbio (65km), as well as Siena, Assisi (both 70km) and Florence (90km).

Guests at the holiday house can use a pool about 700 metres away. It belongs to a country house with two apartments belonging to the same owner. The pool is shared with these properties. It is an overflow pool with a sterilising system based on salt water without chlorine. It is not supervised, measures 6 x 12 metres and is open from May to September (also dependent on the weather). The owners offer cookery course or individual instruction, where you can learn to prepare typical Tuscan dishes, as well as pasta, bread, game and even medieval dishes (prices to be confirmed locally, depending on the course). Firewood is provided during the cool season. The first 100kg are free, further use is payable.
